'Materia Virosa & Repertorium Virosum' book and its
software 'Repertorium Virosum' Version 1.0 is released.
Materia Virosa V1.0 is the collection
and homeopathic analysis of data related to Genus Epidemicus
of viral infections. The information is based on recent
findings about viral states and their clinical manifestations.
The data is presented in the format of commonly used
Materia Medicas for better understanding of signs and
symptoms of the infectious states.
Materia Virosa is
the tool for understanding the infectious states in
a phenomenological way. As infectious diseases are one
of the important fundamental causes for chronic diseases,
an updated knowledge of Genus Epidemicus is necessary
for a sound analysis of chronic patients. Understanding
newly defined miasmatic patterns was one of the interests
of Samuel Hahnemann, too. For example, what was called
Sycosis by Hahnemann had been called 'Syphilitic warts'
and in some cases 'Syphilitic gonorrhea' by French doctors.
Following careful observations, Hahnemann traced an
independent dynamic state beginning with a distinct
primary infection and a classical pattern of latency,
progression and secondary manifestations. We now know
that by Sycosis, Hahnemann was describing Condyloma
accuminatum, the dynamic state of Human Papilloma Virus
(or HPV) co-infected in some cases with Herpes Simplex
Virus type 2.
I am sure that with the current epidemiological
data, Hahnemann would continue his effort to specify
distinct chronic miasms. I believe that what Hahnemann
called Psora is mainly the overall image of viral states
capable of inducing latency and secondary manifestations.
The phenomenological study of the mentioned viral states,
their antimiasmatic remedies and their relative similarities
with Hahnemann's antipsorics are some of the confirmatory
evidence.
The miasmatic pictures of 60 viral states
and their related remedies are gathered in this book.
The related repertory, Repertorium virosum and its software
help us to trace the presence of latent and secondary
viral states in patients suffering from chronic diseases.
It is worth noting that these new tools are not going
to be used as substitutes for all the current effective
tools and techniques in case analysis. They just help
us to complete the picture of the disease in cases with
paucity of valuable symptoms and also help us to understand
the dynamic nature of chronic miasms; especially in
patients infected with multiple miasms.
The main approach
to understand the dynamic nature of chronic patterns
is finding the valuable fragments of the primary altered
state in the secondary picture of the disease by thematic
analysis, finding persisting features which are analogous
in quality with the original state and also the knowledge
of the primary unresolved state by studying the patient's
personal history, and building the image, like puzzle
pieces with his or her acute-like flare-ups, family
history and at last understanding the miasmatic structure
of the patient with finding the related Genus Epidemicus.
Materia Virosa helps us to understand Genus Epidemicus
in an updated style and also paves the way for promotion
of empiricism in the study of miasms rather than mere
rational speculations.
For a better understanding of
the basic concepts related to the study of Genus Epidemicus
and its role in case analysis you can find out my articles
in the library of my website
http://www.minutus.org
. Among the existing ones, recommended articles are
‘Basic Principles in Treatment of Chronic Diseases’
(Parts 1, 2, 3), ‘Chronic Diseases – The Effective Causal
Complex’, ’40 Points in Analysis of Chronic Patients’,
‘Sycosis & Gonorrhea’, ‘Syphilis – A Fresh Look’ and
‘Common Gonorrhea’.
The precious hidden gift in Samuel
Hahnemann's 'Chronic Diseases' is the point that in
most chronic diseases the fundamental cause is an underlying
infectious disease (in its non-contagious latent or
secondary phase). 'What is to be cured' in the patient
is actually this underlying infectious 'state'. Materia
Virosa and its repertory, help you to discover the underlying
state from their manifestations in the patient's symptoms.
This first version will be followed by next ones with
added signs and symptoms and also next volumes about
other categories of infectious states (Prions, Bacteria,
Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, etc).
The software is beautifully
designed and repertorizes the symptoms of the patient
and shows the result of miasmatic analysis. The information
of the book is also included in the software. It can
save cases, do the rubric search for the miasms, has
a tour guide,.. If you are interested in the book and/or
software, contact info@minutus.org
